The Science Behind the Curve
The skin aging curve
You can't move the peaks. You can change the climb.
A Stanford study measured about 3,000 blood proteins in more than 4,000 people aged 18 to 95 and found the change does not arrive evenly — it peaks around 34, 60 and 78.
Skin keeps its own clock beside it: after menopause it loses roughly 30% of its collagen in five years, then about 2% a year.
Kurved products and routines works on the long flat runs in between.
Peaks at 34, 60 and 78: Lehallier et al., Nature Medicine, 2019 — more than 4,000 people aged 18–95, plasma proteome. A 2024 Stanford study using a different method reported crests at 44 and 60 in 108 people; its analysis has been publicly disputed. Collagen figures: Brincat et al., 1987. None of this research was conducted on Kurved products.
